I am a rising senior at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. I am majoring in psychology and minoring in English. In addition to making the dean's list 4 times with a 3.7...See More9 cumulative GPA, I am the lab manager of the only clinical psychology lab on campus, studying the social form of rumination in college students and examining its relationship to anxiety, depression, and friendship closeness. One of my favorite extracurriculars in college has been my 2 years of experience tutoring Baltimore children at the local library. I've tutored children from 3rd grade through high school in anything they needed help with, ranging from reading comprehension to multiplication to exam preparation.
I am in the process of applying to graduate school where I plan to specialize in clinical counseling for children and adolescents. I love learning as well as communicating what I know to others, and I am passionate to provide the best service I can for any student with whom I work.
Helping students on their essays, both for college admissions and academic coursework, is a top interest and skill of mine. As an English minor and bookworm, I can work with students to best communicate their ideas, develop their theses, and convey a convincing argument to their reader.
I also studied Spanish in Peru and can work with any ESL Spanish speaking students.
If this sounds like a good fit, I'd love the opportunity to work with you!
